Gastroenterology Fellowship program facts

Contact us

The Aurora Gastroenterology Fellowship program offers future gastroenterologists the opportunity to experience a wide range of practices within their chosen specialty. The goal of our faculty and staff is to foster the development of a highly competent specialist that is equipped for a productive and rewarding career in gastroenterology.

Fellows in our program will see a high volume and variety of patients, ensuring a diverse and comprehensive clinical experience. The majority of training takes place at Aurora Sinai and Aurora St. Luke's Medical Centers. In addition to ample inpatient exposure at both campuses, our fellows complete services alongside specialists in Hepatology, Inflammatory Bowel Disease, Motility and Advanced Endoscopy.

Our fellows are also provided the opportunity to conduct research in their area(s) of clinical interest during one of their several research rotations. Fellows have assigned monthly services and come together every Monday afternoon for GI Continuity Clinic.

Program rotations occur over 13 blocks, in no particular order. Electives include, but are not limited to: IBD, Motility, Nutrition, Genetics, Colorectal Surgery, Pediatric GI and ERCP. IBD and Motility must be taken during an F-2 or F-3 elective month.
