Aurora South WI EMS offers evidence-based, best-practice continuing education for all EMS providers, regardless of your system affiliation. Our courses meet the requirements of Wisconsin Administrative Code Chapter DHS 110.
Available courses
Our evidence-based courses reflect the most current practices and are offered in a variety of formats to meet your learning needs.
To participate in self-paced courses and in-person training, you must create a free account on the Aurora Health Care CPD learning platform. All courses offered by Aurora South WI EMS are free, but other organizations may charge a course fee.

Self-paced online courses
Self-paced courses are updated each licensing period to give you accurate, up-to-date information. Most courses provide credit for two hours of continuing medical education.
On-site fire department training
Each quarter, Aurora South WI EMS hosts trainings at various fire departments throughout Kenosha, Racine, and Walworth counties. We also host training at Aurora Lakeland Medical Center, Aurora Medical Center Burlington, and Aurora Medical Center - Mount Pleasant.
Clinical opportunities
We offer several clinical opportunities for both EMS students and practicing EMS providers. Opportunities are available in the emergency department, intensive care unit, surgery, labor and delivery and respiratory services. AEMT refresher training
As a state approved continuing education training center, our refresher courses satisfy the requirements of Wisconsin Administrative Code Chapter DHS 110 and can be modified to meet the training needs of individual departments. Refresher training is free.
