Training in Urban Medicine & Public Health

Contact us

Training in Urban Medicine and Public Health (TRIUMPH) is a program for University of Wisconsin medical students that provides unique educational experiences for students committed to providing health care for underserved, urban populations.

The TRIUMPH program is provided through the University of Wisconsin Madison School of Medicine and Public Health. TRIUMPH integrates clinical, community and public health, as well as leadership skill development in urban Milwaukee.

TRIUMPH was developed in response to pervasive disparities in health outcomes and chronic shortages of physicians in medically under-served urban areas. It exists to recruit and prepare community-responsive physicians to promote health equity and to improve access to health care in urban communities and beyond.
